The gray walls were arranged in an odd rectangular shape. The fluffy carpet was a beige-green color. It sat against the lower-walls of the rectangular room. The shocking light-switch made all electric items flicker with light. The gray paint on the wall flashed with brightness.  The television lost signal, but suddenly returned to its show. Windows viewed the star filled sky, as it was pitch-black and it filled the room with darkness. The cat’s eyes small was as a pebble as the lights flickered in the dark room.  It lay on the humongous bed afraid of the walking being. The wooden posts vibrated as the being walked closer.  The snowy white dresser shined in the darkness, and blinded the person as he stumbled in.

In the story Of Mice and Men, John Steinbeck illustrates how Curley’s wife is a confined woman living at a ranch with no one to talk to. Curley does not want his to talk to any one but him. “I can’t talk to nobody but Curley. Else he gets mad.” He traps his wife by not letting her talk to anyone at the ranch and it makes his wife feel lonely. She is not close to any one but Curley. At the farm she is known as Curley’s wife, she does not have a name. The one time Curley’s wife talked to Lennie, She was sneaking up on him to see what he was doing. Lennie was surprised to see Curley’s wife and the conversation they hade made her feel good and comfortable. “But you’re a kinda nice fella. Jus’ like a big baby.” Curley’s wife didn’t get what she deserved because she wanted someone to talk to and she talked to Lennie. Lennie freaked out and snapped her neck because he was afraid George would hear Curley’s wife screaming. “And shook her; and her body flapped like a fish. And then she was still, for Lennie had broken her neck.” Curley’s wife did not know it was coming and she did not deserve it.
